 How long does training take? The private licence should take approximately three to four months to complete. Can I train on a part-time basis? Yes, although it isn't recommended. Any large gaps in training will result in excess review from lesson to lesson, thereby possibly increasing costs and length of training. What are the prerequisites required to commence training?
The only requirement is a valid medical certificate. A common misconception is that a fixed wing licence is required prior to rotary wing training. This is not the case although any previous aviation experience is helpful. Trainees should also have a good command of the English language. When can I start training? Start dates are flexible at Silverline Helicopters. Do you have student accommodation available? Silverline Helicopters can offer on-site accommodations for out of town students on a case by case basis. A $500.00 security deposit is required from those students who wish to take advantage of the accommodations. |
